Students learned about our Underwater World through a guided tour of the famous attraction here on Guam. Students also enjoyed a meal at Sea Grill after a long and exciting tour of the tunnel. We would like to thank all our parents who volunteered to help with the students to ensure safety and learning.
T-Galleria Christmas Tree Decorating Contest
Our students participated in the T-Galleria Christmas Tree Decorating Contest just this past December. We were gifted with $100.00 as part of our participation which will go towards purchasing science and musical instruments for our class.
Spelling Bee 2015
We recently conducted our School-wide Spelling Bee. After 12 rounds, our GATE student Jona Marie Reyes emerged victorious as the AsTumbo Elementary representative in the Island-wide Spelling Bee on March 14, 2015. Angela Topacio came in 2nd place and is our alternate representative for the school. Congratulations.

The GATE kids conducted science investigations using the materials from the FOSS kits. Students are also working on math strategies not just for personal academic growth, but to prepare for the upcoming math competitions of Math Kangaroo and Math Olympiad.

Math Kangaroo was conducted on March 20th with the GATE students who registered for the competition. Students received shirts, prizes, and certificates. Results come out in May.
The National Association of Women In Construction (NAWIC) Block Kids competition was held on Saturday, February 28 at the Guam Community College and Kelvin Gaza and Isaiah Carlos represented our school. The competition has students build anything related to construction and they must use all provided materials in their piece. Isaiah Carlos took 1st place in his division. Congratulations.

After studying fresh vegetables and identifying what part of the plant the vegetables came from, 2nd grade presented all the products that are provided by fruits and vegetables.
After coming up with categories based on insect attributes, 1st grade went on a bug hunt and used magnifying glasses to examine their specimens more closely. To follow up, they created a 3-dimensional display of insects that are combined into one new super-insect.
3rd grade studied shelled animals and created their own shelled animals.
